XBox 360 controller driver not working!

Not sure if this is the right area of the forum...

I downloaded this driver. However, whenever I plug my controller in, I get an error (something to do with drawing too much power), or nothing happens. Whenever I try installing the newest version, it says I have 0.0.6 instead of 0.0.7. Any help?
