It doesn't appear to add features that I need. I don't really have large projects requiring coordination between Word, email/calendar, excel, etc. Was there something else besides "refinements"?

It is? How can a word processor be slow?

*goes to test out MS Word.......and waits......and waits*

When he posted his excitement about Office 2004 in the GarageBand forum, he was just continuing Apple's metaphor about iLife being "Microsoft Office for the rest of your life." So I guess Word 2004 is like GarageBand for letters and words instead of for notes and loops.

I'll bet it performs similarly, too. ;-)
