I've had a problem with my girlfriends iBook, water split on it and basically destroyed it.

I would like to take the HD out and install it in my 867Dual MDD. I have the stock drive 60gb and I also have an 80gb these are installed in the ATA100 bays. Could i install the iBook HD in one of the ATA66 bays? this drive has all of the OS on it, could i access the files we need if i were to do this?

I realise the size will be different, but i'm sure something could be rigged up to hold it.

thanks for you help.

To use it in one of the drive bays, you just need a mounting kit.

As long as the drive wasn't damaged by the water spill, it should work perfectly.
