MacPad or iTablet - could it look like this?

I'm waiting for a MacPad or iTablet like many other Apple-Users and so I thought about how it could look like!

I did this small mockup - so what do you think? Will the MacPad come in the future and could it look like this?

It would be great, if everyone who like, would post an own or an existing mockup of an iTablet, Macbook touch or Apple netbook in this thread for discussion!

I know there are a lot of discussion and no one could know what will come but this should be a place to collect all the existing pictures, theories, wishes and new pictures from all of you!

- 10,2" Touchscreen
- Full OS X
- Wacom Cintiq Technology
- Control it with your fingers or draw with a Wacom pen
- Wlan, Bluetooth, UMTS/HSDPA
- And special Apps an Games in the iTunes Appstore
- Ports (on the backside of the round part): USB 2.0, Line in/out, Mini DVI, Macsafe Power

Or you could just try getting a netbook, buy a touchscreen kit (which works for OS X btw) and a retail copy of Leopard.

When you guys make a mockup... take a look at the Modbook and maybe base some of your ideas off of it.

How sweet would it be if you had that and it would work as an external keyboard or switch to a graphics pad or you could walk around with it and have a synched copy of your docs on it?

with that design, you could probably fit a whole variety of ports on the back round part.

If it looked like the first mockup, worked as an independent computer, and could work as a KB/M and Graphics Tablet, i would buy it in a heartbeat.

Thanks to everyone for the great feedback - I'm happy that the most of you like my idea and design (ok a apple tablet is not a completely new idea but you know what I mean )!

I can't imagine it would be too far from the ModBook Pro

The problem with the Modbook and Modbook Pro is, that axiotron has to buy the Macbooks from Apple and than they have to mod them. This way to makes it more expensive than apple could sell such an Gadget.
And for me I have to say, that I don't like the design, exspecially from the Modbook Pro, and that I wouldn't need so much performance in my mobile (drawing) tablet! At home I would use a wacom cintiq and as a mobile device I would like to have a tablet with 10,2" screen without DVD and to much ports, 1,6 to 1,8 Ghz Intel Core duo would be enough. Such a device around the 1000,- Dollar would be great and Apple would have it`s own Netbook, a tablet, a drawing tablet and a "keyboarddevice" in one gadget! Wouldn't this be great and the logic way to use the new technic!?

In this moment I read an article about an Apple patent about a Tablet from 09.2008! Maybe it will come...
