FireWire External HD - Not Working

Hi,

My powerbook is not responding to the FireWire 400 conection from an external hard drive.

How can i get it going?

Just had to ask 😉

Next thing I would do is see if you have the latest firmware for your drive. Check the manufacturers site to see if they have anything. I just bought an empty firewire enclosure for my old Windows PC HD and put that together without a hitch. If you have any other computers, Mac or Windows, I would try connecting the drive to them as well to see how it responds. Other than this I can't really offer much more technical advice. Good luck.
