Hey guys,

Thought you might be interested to know that system-wide color profiles are finally implemented in Windows 7. This means that you can copy your .icc color profile for your display over to Windows and apply it there as well. This has been a lifesaver for my MBP display, which has a washed out blue hue with no calibration.

To get it working...
1. Copy an icc profile of your choice from Library/ColorSync/Profiles/ (the default ones are in the root folder library, the custom ones are in your user library)... to Windows.

2. Double-click the profile to copy it to the magical windows system directory where color profiles are stored.

3. Go to the color profile control panel (just search for color profile in the start menu search).

4. Set your color profile as the default for the display.

5. Go to the last tab and click "change system defaults" or something like that. On the last tab of that window, there's a box that says "use windows calibration" at the bottom. Check that, and everything will get a heck of a lot prettier.

A few notes...
- Though Vista has a Color Profiles control panel too, it only works with color managed applications, so it won't change the look of the entire operating system. You can work around it with something called a LUT Loader, though, but it can be fishy.
- Windows uses a default gamma of 2.2, so you should probably use a profile with such a gamma value.

Hope this helps!
