Frivolous discussion of minor annoyance

Today my iCal icon was out of whack, and it annoyed me. I've attached two pics: one of how it was, and one of how it should have been (it returned to normal after I restarted).

It really threw me, I can tell you. Why did this happen? What doom does it portend?

Oh, shut up me. Just thought I'd point it out.

Though I don't know how to solve your problem, I must say that the title of this thread doesn't exactly demand people reply to it. 😛

Could be a font problem? Since the iCal icon updates to show the current date, either they've got 31 PNGs, or they use a font. And since the font is Helvetica it CONFLICTS WITH OTHER HELVETICAS YOU MIGHT HAVE IN YOUR SYSTEM, which gives me fits, as I work in graphic design... 😡

i did wonder about that, but I haven't been mucking around with my fonts recently, so it would surprise me. unless a font as spontaneously corrupted, which is not beyond the realms of possibility...
