I've setup my macbook air with an xp partition also.

Is there a way of getting a backup image of the whole setup?

Your best bet is probably to use Carbon Copy Cloner (or Super Duper) for the OSX partition and WinClone for the XP

You will probably get other suggestions as well

perhaps you could do a dd copy of the entire drive. I haven't tried to use this particular copy method in a while, but through the terminal I belive you can use the dd copy method with the correct parameters to copy it all as a single drive.

Beware, if you can, it will take a really, really, (like overnight and more maybe) long time.

here is a link to a little tutorial about it.

Rather than use the /dev/hda3...you might just try /dev/hda
