Ugly......... I'd buy something cooler....

It costs an extra $60,000 per year to maintain it and another $25,000 to replace the tires & wheels every 3,000 miles or something. Lame....... I watched a program featuring one of the owners & he said that & more about the associated fees.

The incarnation of economic suicide and concentrated unreasonableness. That's probably why I always loved the Lamborghini Countach so much.

I don't know about driving it to the mall- I can't trust leaving an expensive supercar in a carpark where many other cars are parked and people are walking around. It'd be awesome on the motorway/open roads/race track.

Very nice car, though- it's my Mum's dream car.

Oh dear god I can't imagine leaving it parked let alone driving it in SoCal. The drivers here are nuts. LOL

It's ugly.

And why would I pay so much money for the 2nd fastest car in the world when it's ugly, and costs considerably more than the fastest car?

Personally, if I were to buy a flash supercar, I'd get a Pagani Zonda, Carrera GT, or yes, a Caterham. They look better, and they're pretty much as fast.

It's ugly and stupid... I would either sale it or get an insurance bond for the car (I hear you can't insure these cars, just buy bond like truckers do for there loads). Then lets Prof mom drive it, she may hit another flooded street!

Wow you're nice. Re: Prof's mom That's actually really hilarious.

Or you could deck it out in Apple livery like that Honda Accord in the "Do you have Apple stickers on your car?" thread.

The Bugatti Veyron EB 16.4 is: € 1.1 million or $1.5 million in purchase price, but the 'other' cost that company doesn't tell ya up front is: the yearly insurance cost and replacement tires..

(Fuel tank size: 22 imp. gal or 26 US gal)
^^
info came from here...

Yearly insurance is $60k or €1,306 and tires need replaced @ 8K miles for $75k or €1,632 (4 tires)..

^^
This info came from a tv show that I saw on some network... I'll update the info when I find the link....

Yeah I couldn't remember the exact numbers but they were interviewing a Middle Eastern billionaire hotel owner/entrepreneur who owned one.

He actually lives in LA and I've seen him on the road before. TBH the car isn't that impressive, just showy and overdone.

Not like it matters. No Bugatti will ever be driven a total of 8,000 miles ever. That price tag is there just to scare the "poor" rich folk from trying to buy one.

If you can afford the $2 million purchase price, then the other costs are peanuts, aren't they?

Doesn't excite me.

Now something the Vector W2 or W8 would be more to my liking.

To bad they don't make them any more.

Actually, at speed, the axles would probably never see the water. That thing would aquaplane on the skid pad all the way to the other side.
