Google sync

yes me too - first time I used it today after upgrade- can't think why I waited so long...
 
So does this basically transfer all your email contacts from your gmail account to your iPhone?
 
I tried it and it didn't work for me for some reason?? It put all my iphone contacts in my gmail but erased them off the phone and for the life of me I couldn't figure out how to get them back onto the phone...user error most likely but I couldn't figure it out lol😱

Does it add the email addresses to your iPhones contact list or do the email addresses get saved elsewhere?

Is it possiable to screw things up and lose all your addresses and contacts?
 
It doesnt add email addresses, at the moment it doesn't support mail, only contacts and calender.Google has instructions for backing up contacts.

So it adds email address' to your contacts list on your iPhone? 😕
 
What I should have said was that google doesnt support email sync at the moment. When you set up gmail sync you back up iphone contacts in gmail. When the gmail account sync is set up on the iphone the contacts, including email addresses, are synced to contacts on the iphone.

However as far a s I can tell , subsequent email addresses are not synced - ie if you send a new email that address is not added to contacts 😕
