Transferring iTunes cross-fades to iPod?

Is there a way to sync iTunes' cross-fades in playlists to an iPod?

iTunes 4.2, 3G iPod (software 2.1), OS X 10.3.3.

Seeing as how iTunes is mixing the audio on the fly, I'd presume the iPod would have to have the same software (and hardware capable of doing it) on it.

I don't have an iPod yet so I cannot say whether it does or doesn't, but I'd asume it doesn't

wish it did, but this might require a better/faster audio chip. which would mean more money, which would mean a no.
