Inherited IBook G4

Hi All,

I am new to the world of Macs and have just inherited an Ibook G4. It seems to work fine, but the display is all wrong, I have gone through the display settings but to no avail.

The log on screen is fine, has correct display settings, but when the main window loads its like its defaulting to 256 or worse. Its like when your windows based PC crashes and goes into safe mode.

Can anyone help me out, its not a nice introduction to the world of Mac

cheers,

FB
