iPod touch My ipod will not restore! Please Help ME

I sent my ipod off becuase it had water damage they sent it back and it will turn on now but it will not restore there for i cannot get anything down loaded again some one plaese tell me what i can do😕

what exactly is happening?

does it give you an error code? if so what is it
