Yes, use SBSettings or BossPrefs. And fyi, SSH does not cause battery drain...the daemon responsible for it does not stay "active" until a connection request is made to your phone, at which point it activates. But that's beating a dead horse so I won't go into that any further. 😉
I would recommend just leaving SSH on, in case you ever get stuck at the boot logo after installing/changing something, you have a 2-3 minute window to SSH on at startup after every reboot to fix/undo any changes you did and prevent a restore. Just my 2 cents.
