How do you jailbreak without the original 2.2.1 firmware?

I'm not an expert with ipods so I don't really know what to do. I updated my firmware to the newer 2.2.1 firmware so how can I downgrade it back to the original?
 
SHAZAM! Download the iPod Touch firmware you want and restore to it by holding alt and clicking Restore in iTunes. But I'm pretty sure you can jailbreak 2.2.1 now.
