I like it also and am glad they have a free version, however the full version is not worth $3.99. I have had it crash my iPhone once already because the iPhone can't handle all that is going on and routinely slows down.
All I would pay is $.99 for the full version.
Phenomenal tower defense game, and unforgiving in difficulty. I'm obsessed with getting a perfect on every stage, and Medium 2 is giving me fits. Love it, though.
Well the free version crashed my iPhone! And it is NOT worth $3.99, in this economy.Full version is easily worth $3.99, and it's never once crashed my iPhone.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one stuck on that level! I've been playing both Medium 2 and 3 for weeks, and not getting past them. I could go on to level 4, but I don't want to leave too many unsolved before going on -- if not just for my pride.
In terms of stability, so far it's been pretty good, but there are times when a) so much is going on that the framerate drops, and the game becomes sluggish (which makes it a lot harder to place new towers in the middle of a complex wave), or b) when the bouncy board distortion explosion effect messes up the game, and nothing responds to your touch for a few seconds. Has anyone else had this problem?
But yes, overall, a great game both mentally and aesthestically. I'm looking forward to an update to get rid of some of the bugs, and hopefully add support for saving a game when you get a phone call/quit to do something else. Fieldrunners has such a great state saving mechanism (even if it crashes, it resumes exactly where it left off); it would be nice to see something similar implemented in geoDefense.
Take care,
Sojourn
P.S. With regards to price, I got this game when it was on sale for 99 cents, but it's definitely worth buying.
Speaking of geoDefense - they released an update yesterday but my iTunes is refusing to sync to iphone with error message saying about app could not be verified...
I've had about 5 updates SINCE this one and they've all worked, i deleted the app, re-downloaded, restarted comp, reauthd comp, rebooted iphone ... geodefense is the ONLY app that won't sync
Anyone had this or know how to fix?
That so doesn't make sense. Raising prices due to slow sales will only make sales even slower. Especially in this economy. It is like when the Government and States raise taxes during this tough economy, we aren't going to be spending money if we are taxed more. Many people are taking pay cuts, if they still have a job. So consumers have less money to spend. He probably also raised that cause sales declined after the initial spike, and he's got to make enough income from the slower trickle of sales these days.
This is not a fair comparison though if you are talking about computer software. That software is for use on a bigger screen and with a more comfortable layout. A game on the iPhone that gets bogged down due to the iPhone's hardware limitations is not worth $3.99 in my opinion. And a company that takes advantage of consumers declining income due to the poor economy, by raising their prices, doesn't look good in my book.iPhone apps really are cheap in comparison to most other software.
