I really don't understand why everyone has their knickers in a twist that Apple has to charge exorbitant prices for a chip that is not available in any retail channel. The yields on the high end chip are likely quite low, and the price will probably drop to half of what it curently is mid-way through its lifecycle. Of course, that will invite pissing and moaning by people who paid the early adopter's fee and think that they should get a rebate.
