New iMac copied iTunes folder not showing

Got my first iMac today and am trying to move everything from pc to it. I have TC and saved a copy of the iTunes folder with all the music and iPhone apps to it. I copied that folder to iTunes folder on new iMac and deleted old folder. When I open iTunes nothing shows up. If I open the folder with finder all the songs are there. There has to one step I
Missed can someone help me? Thanks in advance

I think you have to hold the option key while launching iTunes to point it towards the transferred library?

So I gave that a try and went to the music folder again they are all there and it said it could not use that file. Or something along those lines. I am at work so will hav et o wait until tonight to try again. Again suggestions welcomed.

google: transfer itunes library

perhaps add keywords relevant to what you want to do.

Thanks consult - I had freinds figure it out for me. I knew it was something simple and it was.
