To those that have it (or don't and know the answer), what happens if you try and downgrade back to a lower firmware from 3.0? Also, does anyone know the point of this limitation? Thanks.

I dont think there is a way to downgrade from 3.0

Has someone with 3.0 actually tried this yet? Would be extremely helpful if they did, many people would like to know. I would do it myself, but haven't been activated yet.
ETA: So it appears DFU does not work (an error appears.) So if you install you're stuck with it.
