Sharing an iPhone Developer account.

Quick question... is it possible for somebody I know to buy a $100 developer program account, and then input multiple iphone UDIDs (including mine) so that I can download the 3.0 beta?

Are there any limitations with iTunes accounts that will prevent multiple iPhones with different owners from sharing the beta?

Yea you can add up to a hundred iPhones. However technically it's a violation of the NDA agreement if those phones do not belong to you. But nobody seems to care much about the NDA these days..

I see, so taking that into consideration, even if we still go through with it - are there any technical shortcomings because of the different itunes accounts that we sync to?

No the iTunes account has nothing to do with it. All that is needed is the iPhone UDID #. Simply add the UDID # to the DEV account and you should be set. Also make sure you add the UDID to the DEV account BEFORE installing 3.0.

Also I heard that new DEV accounts are taking up to 30 days to get approved.

Yes, it's possible. That's how I was able to use 3.0. I paid a guy 5 bucks to add my identifier to his account.

but u guys do realize that betas expire and when it does you'll have to have access to the latest release which as a developer you will have.

I've got some time off this few weeks so I signed up as a developer to try coding something for the iphone. The website says up to "24hrs" and if I do not get my email within the 24hrs I'm going to contact them to cancel. I'm going to be tied up so badly with work in 30 days I wouldn't even have time to check my email. It's going to be pointless giving it to me then.

I should also mention, since this violates the NDA, most threads like this get deleted.

i upgraded my free account to the paid program on the 17th and in about 10 minutes I got the activation email. Before I knew it I had the SDK and Beta OS installed.
