10MB Cap Lifted in 3.0

I just noticed that I am now able to download podcasts from iTunes on my iPhone 3G 3.0 beta that are larger than 10MB while on 3G connection. Is this an oversight or is AT&T going to let me take advantage of my data plan finally?

The app store is still crippled. I just tried to download ZenBound which I had previously purchased before restoring with 3.0. It gave me the standard 10MB wifi error.

Should have made myself clear.

anything special?

Did you have to do anything special to enable it? I am using 3.0 and everytime I try to d/l a podcast over 10MB, I still get the same old error message...

Thanks,
Tavin.

O_o the 10MB limit has been gone for a long time for me... both on iTunes and App Store. I downloaded TTR2 over EDGE... took forever, but I did it. Don't know what's up with your phones...

Tried to download a Toppe update last night but got the 10 MB warning, so I don't think it's lifted. I don't see why it would be lifted, since it's not a software issue it's a network issue (ATT doesn't want it to be clogged with downloads.)

Just found out why. TTR2 is only 9.8MB. JUST under... Can't find a free app under 10MB other than Ambiance... 50MB is just a little too much to attempt over EDGE...

So frustrating.

WE Flipping pay 30 for this service...

On my $15 dollar media net I am able to download unlimited podcasts over 3G. absurd.

One nice thing, the 10MB download for music has been upped to 12MB. I found this out a few nights ago. I still wish they would end these limits.

I've had 3G for two days and I'm already turning off WiFi at home. For $30/month (plus the $5 text plan I added because unfortunately I know I'll get a few), I'm getting my money's worth.

Apple needs to open it up to Verizon and T-Mobile if for nothing else to get some of the traffic away from AT&T's network.
