whymac ?

You are trying to copy to/from a source that uses Fat 32, which does not support files larger than 4GB.

You probably need to format the portable disc it so it has Mac OS Extended file format. Note that you can only use it with Mac then.

Mac OS Journaled partitioned drive supports large files. You can't be using this type of partition on your system or you purchased an older Mac.
 
if it from fat32 they wont copy marger files

the best way to do it

split the file using Hjslit software (java based) into 2 parts and copy them

Mac's are Better , Your confused, Macs are SUPERIOR to PC's

When asking questions on the boards and being new, may I suggest you word your question or questions appropriately...........

Thanks for the replies. It wasn't really a question I knew the answer, just a bit of a rant. I am actually quite please with my mac I have just had a few issues moving, editing files etc which has taken me a while to resolve.
