white macbook vibrates after changing the hard drive
hi,
I recently bought a Seagate Momentus 7200.3 and built it in my white macbook. The performance (opening aps etc.) of the macbook is significantly better and the 320 gig are also great. The only problem is that the case vibrates constantly. By pushing with only two fingers on the right side of the case (near the touchpad) the whole vibration stops. now I don't know what to do ... I thought of puttting something between the hard drive and the surrounding case. Perhaps that could stop the vibration. I hoped that some experts are here in this forum, helping me on that issue. What can cause this vibration? Does someone have experience here with fixing that? Do you also have such vibration with a 7200 hard drive in the white macbook or is that just because of that model (the momentus)? thanks for any help and suggestions! |

Seems everyone's experience varies on this matter, but for me, 2 different 7200 rpm drives vibrated my palmrest. I gave up and settled on the WD scorpio blue. I tried the WD scorpio black, and the Hitachi 7k320. The Hitachi was much better, but still vibrated enough to be annoying.
