screen capture/screen grab movies
Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to take a screen shot/screen grab ect. movies on mac? Because I wanted to put it as my desktop and take a few and just have them alternating.

Wait, slow down. You want to do what what? Take video screenshots and use them as your desktop?

Do you mean still images from movie playing?
Just use the normal screen capture keys while having the movie on pause/playing on fullscreen cmd+shift+3 |

Ah yes, that would make some sense. It's not the most clearly-worded post I've ever read, put it that way.
Unfortunately, johto's trick won't work in DVD Player. It'll be fine in QuickTime, though.

after collecting your screen grabs, put them all in a folder, and in system preferences under desktop you can select that folder and check the "change every x minutes" box.

if its DVD's your playing and need to take screens of. try using VLC player. either the standard screenshot (cmd+shift+3) or the inbuilt screenshot function VLC player has
