UK medics...preferably students, i need your advice.

This is probably a long shot but what the heck...here goes:

I've been looking to get into medicine but getting into a medical school hasn't been straightforward for me. I was unable to finish my A-Level exams because i became ill during the exams and missed some papers and consequently didn't get the grades i was on all but set to get. I then decided to just take up a health related degree in the meantime (which i'm course for a high 2:1) and transition as a Graduate applicant

However i'm now at that phase where i want to apply to schools as a Graduate student but i've been told i'm unlikely to get in because its even more competitive than the undergraduate programs and universities look for REALLY mature graduates...age range 25-35 or more as opposed to younger fresh out the oven graduates and i would be better off applying to the undergraduate program.

This seems to be true because all those who applied already to the graduate program (my age range) have been rejected. The thing is i'm worried my previous subpar A-Level grades would dent my suitability compared to others who got the grades needed because i hear schools look at your A-Level grades if you apply to the undergrad even as a graduate

Another suggestion i got was to do a Masters in a medically related subject (i already hold an offer Neuroscience) first and then apply as i'd have more of a chance as a graduate applicant with a Masters but studying Masters is crazy expensive £17k-25k which is a major hindrance but can be done...barely...very barely

So i'm thinking maybe a better option would be to go back and rectify the original issue, do an intensive A-Level course (refresher), take the exams (which i'd hopefully do well in since i still remember most of the curriculum) and then apply as an undergrad. Its cheaper and by popular opinion most likely to get me in but people are telling me its pointless

What do you guys think. Masters as a graduate or go back and rectify the A-Level issue?
