ok, so i always thought the internet came about thanks to the US goverment, i guess this guy made it what it is today eh? good ol' Brits 😉

Hmmm the internet was thanks to the US Gov't. But W3 is no DARPA creation. Tim Berners-Lee invented the World Wide Web hyperlink system on a NeXT system.

In effect since the NeXTstep OS components are part of OS X you could say that WWW was invented on a Macintosh in a roundabout kind of way.
