New folders created on a network are unable to be accessed by other users on the same network in Leopard OSX 10.5.6. The original user is the only one able to access the folder.
You should be able to go to 'Get Info' on the folder and change sharing and permissions at the original user's mac, so that all users on the network are able to read and write to that folder. Leopard OSX doesn't not allow the change to be made. The selections are not ghosted out, but the appear available to be selected. No matter which you choose 'read & write', 'read only' the 'no access' option remains.
We can go to a different mac on the network that has Tiger OSX and change the sharing and permissions of the folder in question. Why can't I easily do the same on the originating mac?
