REV:A prices to fall again?

wow. $1749 for refurb revB vs $1099 refurb revA.
i doubt why they have to drop the price.

It's still an extra $550 for nVidia graphics, double the L2 cache, and the latest Penryn processor. When you look at it that way...The Rev.A MBA looks like a fantastic deal at $999.

I'm surprised that the Rev. A MBAs are not moving so quickly.

I think the rev Bs were finally put on the refurbished list for one of two reasons.

1. They finally have sold most of the original MBA inventory.

2. They finally figured out the display issue with rev Bs which many of them had to have. Must finally have all those returned with lines fixed.

No matter what the deal is, I wish they would dump the rest of them and be done with them.

Once the refurbished original MBAs are all gone, I expect the prices to rise on the open market - places like eBay and Craig's List. Right now, Apple doomed all of the original buyers by dropping the price so low, so everyone has to compete with Apple's low prices. So, I fully expect the value to jump once Apple stops selling the originals.

BTW, I don't own an original MBA, so I am not just saying that. I actually would have considered buying one for my daughter for her birthday had the rev Bs not finally been added to the refurbished section.

I think mainly because many people are opting to pay $550 for a "much" better machine. I say "much" because to some that is very subjective. There are many that have Rev A and are totally happy while others say Rev B is vastly superior to Rev A. It will be all based on how the Air is being used.

Being that I need a new laptop (gave my white macbook to my wife) I am in the middle; do not have $1500 (right now) to spend on a new laptop just yet but need a primary computer that I will carry all the time. Was thinking unibody but it is heavier and the extra's I may not use all that often. I will most likely wait and get a Rev B (unless someone drops a Rev A in my lap for super cheap). I have seen locals here in NYC selling them for $800-900 Rev A.
