I have downloaded and built/compiled codelite following the makefile provided which creates the Runtime folder with Codelite.app in it. I double click the app to run it and the "preferences" menu is greyed out. Do I need to change something to make the preferences available for configuration. I am not exactly sure how to go about it as I am new to macs. What do I need to do to enable the preferences. It is the first app I am trying to install which creates a *.app

I don't know anything about this program but by default new Mac apps written in Cocoa have a Preferences menu that doesn't do anything, so it could just be this. But I would recommend contacting the CodeLite dev team directly with your question.

Thanks for that. Perhaps this is the default setting. I can change the preferences from somewhere else in the app.
