Hi. I have lots of music in an external hard drive. My hard drive got unplugged by accident while adding a cd to the library. Now itunes will only play things added very recently. It asks me to find older tracks, which works. But I have tens of thousands of songs and it seems they all have to be re-recognized individually.
I had this problem before and it eventually went away. Maybe it was solved after an update. Not sure. I tried relocating my iTunes Music Folder and restarting iTunes, but no luck.
I would like to reinstall iTunes, but I am unsure how to do it. Would this be the right thing to do?
I have a PowerBook G4 from 2005 and the latest version of iTunes.
