Can Windows Users Read Pages '09 Documents

I have a proposal due for an english class, and I have to email it to my professor. I know he does not have a Mac, much less Pages, so will he be able to read my document that I created in Pages '09 on his PC? I know he has Office 2007, if that helps.

Or do i have to save the file in some special format from within Pages?

No, you will have to export it as a Word File, a RTF file, or a PDF
 
Save it as PDF, as this is OS and software independent (almost).

To save as PDF, go to Print (Cmd + P), and there is a button on the bottom left, that says save as PDF.

If the user only needs to read a document, then I would recommend going with pdf over RTF. Sometimes RTF doesn't always keep the formatting exactly the same. With the pdf option, you can double check before sending the document.

Yep, this is definitely the way to go if the receiver doesn't need to edit the document.
