Hi,

I'd like to create an application which simply does this:

(1) Application is made to run after install
(2) Sends email to specified email-address
(3) Suspends itself
(4) Wakes up after x minutes
(5) Goto (2)

Is that possible? And can I use the other faculties of the iPhone while this goes on continuously?

Thank you.

Nope, no background processes. App quits on exit.

Ah ok. Thanks.

Just been reading some blogs about this, a very hotly debated topic it would seem. I think it'll only be a matter of time before Apple allows this or some workaround. They've already done something similar in the shape of the push-notifications by web servers.
