Replacing a Clamshell's Guts...

I'm not up to buying a new iBook G4, but is it possible (and cheaper) to take a Clamshell and taking out the G3 processor, 3 gig HD, and CD drive and replace it with a G4, <10 gig HD, and a CD burning drive? 😕
 
would be an expensive and time consuming mod
you'd need to get a new motherboard for the G4 most likely and modding it to fit the case of the clamshell would be hard

Do you want to buy my Tangerine iBook.
It has a cracked screen and shows it's ware, but everything else works.
