They work perfectly in VLC but refuse to work in quicktime. Is this something wrong with the way the camera is encoding the .mpg? Thanks Attachments Picture 2.png 18.2 KB · Views: 110

J jackerin macrumors 6502a Apr 25, 2009 #2 They are most likely MPEG-2, which Quicktime will not play out-of-the-box. You can get the Quicktime MPEG-2 component (about 20 USD, iirc) or encode it to a format that you can play, like MPEG-4.

acearchie macrumors 68040 Original poster Apr 25, 2009 #3 I have 114 clips so does anyone have an idea of the best way I can mass change these clips so they will work in Final Cut? At the moment when I try and import I get 144 unrecognized files error. Thanks p.s. what would be best to export them to for a final cut project set up in AVCHD AIC 1440x1080i50?
