I can't stop thinking about it!

Alright, so, I am trying out for this "premier" baseball league, and there are about 7 teams. About 200 kids total have tried out. There have been 5 tryouts so far, and I went to everyone of them. I find out if I make it tomorrow. I think I did good, I hit the ball well for the most part, I fielded okay, etc. But I am seriously scared to find out the outcome of tomorrow!

Sorry I am just nervous.

An outdoor kid on the forum! Awesome!

I hope you get picked, I'll pray* for you.

*what's the secular way of saying basically the same thing, but you don't actually pray?

Good luck! I hope you make it! Good to see others playing in sports leagues, nowadays no one wants to go out and play sports except for a very few people (surprising there were 200 people trying out), like myself, I play competitive basketball

As someone else that plays sports i know how frustrating it can be to tryout and work hard only to not make the team you wanted especially if your skills are up to par with the better players.
If you do make the team, congratulations!!
If not, you can always be the superstar in a league of average kids (it's actually really fun)

I don't know where i was going with all that...

are you the person that if someone sneezes, you'd say something than 'god bless you' or 'bless you' just to avoid the religous reference?

No. It just wouldn't make sense for me to say "you're in my prayers" since I don't pray.

On a side note: I actually don't say "bless you" I say "I'm sorry" when someone sneezes, but it's not to avoid religious references, I just like apologizing.

There's a Seinfeld episode where they start saying "you're sooo good looking" when someone sneezes.

In my family, when someone sneezes, we say "Bazoonteit" because that's how my kid brother pronounced "gesundteit" when he was a little kid.

I didn't make it.

I feel defeated. The 15 and under rec leagues say I am too old by about 20 days to join. The nearest VFW and American Legion teams are about 2 hours away from me.

I honestly don't know why I didn't make it. I set the record for quickest time on sprinting from first to second, I hit the ball well, never made an error, I don't know, hell, my mom bought me a $160 new glove this winter because I promised her I'd do everything to make it.

Ugh.

No, this league I could make it because I was the right age. The rec league I am too old for, because I looked at their website to check just in case I didn't make this squad.
