Can you? I have my TV as primary screen and right now I have my old PC screen on the desktop so I figured I might as well hook it up since its easier to work when you sit by a table

yeah its just there's no VGA port, and I didnt get the manual with my mini, so I can't see it in there

Do you have the new mini? If so, get a mini Display Port to VGA adapter or a mini DVI to VGA adapter.
ah okay, cool. So can you have both screen identical? Or is the secondary screen just an extension?
try monoprice for the mini display port to vga/dvi adapter. i just got one and it works flawlessly. also its about $10 cheaper than the one sold by apple.
monoprice. rtfp, lol. I got my mini displayport -> vga adapter form there to hook my mac mini into my sony kdl-46xbr4. I'm probably going to get the minidvi -> hdmi adapter and use that though, displayport is a tad bit shaky it seems.
