My MB Pro won't recognize XP install disk

I'm trying for the unptheenth time to install XP on my MB Pro. I get frozen screen saying hit enter to continue install which it won't. Yes I tried anther keyboard w/o success. Or MB Pro looks at install disk a few seconds and ejects it??? I have real xp install disk home edition/sp2 and upgrade professional. nothing works so far. Install disks are 2002 versions. Ideas? Tks R
