iPod Purchase After Rental

I sent the following feature enhancement suggestion to Apple:

It often occurs that I enjoy a rental so much that I would like to purchase it. However, after having spent $2.99-$4.99 on a rental, one is not inclined to pay yet the full price of the movie on top of that.

The customer loses by not getting to keep the movie, Apple loses the additional $10-$15.

Since the download is already in iTunes or AppleTV, there is no additional bandwidth cost to Apple, just a simple removal of the "Time Remaining" restriction.

I think such a feature would be of interest to many people who notice its omission and to others who haven't yet thought of it.

I think both Apple and Customers would benefit by the addition of such a feature. If you agree, send a similar request to Apple via their iTunes Feedback form.
