updated to 10.5.7:no 4finger gesture on early 2008 MacBook Pro

As stated in title, yesterday I updated to 10.5.7 and the little hack I did few months ago to get 4 finger gesture on my MBP has gone.
My question is: is it ok to re-apply the .kext file I used in 10.5.6? or I risk messing everything up?

You risked messing everything up the first time. I don't know anything about it, but probably shouldn't do it.
 
I actually came here for the same question. I was going to hack it... but I wasn't sure that it would work correctly with 10.5.7. I got used to the 3 and 4 finger gestures and now I want them back! I wonder why Apple doesn't just officially support it instead of us having to hack it. They don't loose anything by supporting it, do they!
If someone with TimeMachine can try it to see if it works safely, we'd appreciate the input!
 
yeh i miss this hack already as well. Let me know how it works out and link up the hack here if you find it. 🙂
