Google main page slow to load?

I'm seeing a very slow response time loading up www.google.com. I don't see the issue with any other site. Anybody else?

Edit: Make that searches are also down.
What do we do down! We are doomed!

I think my client is going to have to shut down for the day. I mean the Internetz might as well be considered closed for the day!

Slow for me too. In fact, I'm still waiting for gmail to even come up. I think something's up with Google.

Mine never did. It's more than that; I can't even get www.google.com to load, let alone gmail.

I'm not having any problems with Google or my Gmail account right now. I wonder why it's only affecting some users?

The status didn't list anything for today (that I saw), but as of a few minutes ago it is back to its former quick self.

We need a contingency plan for when The Google is down!

I just reset my router/modem combo and that seems to have done the job. If you are having issues give it a shot

Load balancing most likely and users were redirected to a site with issues. Not everyone hits the same server nor the same location when loading the page. For that matter, one may hit several locations during use.
