Will there be a price drop for D80 because of d5000 out?

Oh really?.. hmm on amazon the body only is 900 bucks.. i dunno why. is it cause they're being discontinued?
d60-> d80 worthy upgrade or wait a few years to upgrade to d90?

No, the D80 price already dropped when the D90 came out. The D80, (if you like it's exposure metering system) is a great buy right now

Darn happy with mine, I have had it just going on a year now. takes all my old Nikon glass, and works like a champ. no geo-tagging like some latter models, but one can not have everything. As for price drop. I am not seeing much happening in there.

Not because of the D5000, that's a D40/D40x/D60 replacement. The D80's replacement was the D90.
