Apple Rejects The First "Dirty" iMix

My iMix became the first playlist rejected by Apple. They called it in "poor taste". Ok, it was a collection of songs with a "self love" theme called One To Tango . I got a rejection email a couple days later and became the first iMix to be turned down by Apple.

Maybe you should have kept it to yourself, including not posting it here.

I think it's funny too.

It is Mac related, in that Apple refused him. Are we sure it was the first rejected iMix?

Yeah the iTunes Abuse person emailed us back. They had to draft a special letter because of our iMix. PDFs of the letters are on our site.

That's crap.

If they sell the music on iTunes there's no reason why they should object to the mix. Jeez, Apple, grow up (i.e. realize masturbation is hardly "evil" or "disgusting", that mentality was left back in the 50's), stop being so damn hypocritical and get a sense of humor. This makes me sick.

I think the title and the idea is clever enough. And that is what those songs are about (at least the ones I'm familiar with).

Your album cover wouldn't have been on the iTunes store, right? They just have a collage of the real album covers. I can see how they might object to your cover, but the song list and album title should have been fine. Sheesh. Puritans.

Oh, and Blue Moon, technically, masturbation was still a hangin' offense in NY State until the 70s.

Actually, isn't it arguably sodomy? Maybe it's still illegal.

I don't know if I buy that hangin' business but sodomy is defined as copulation with a member of the same sex or with an animal, oral copulation is also considered sodomy. So in short, no, masturbation is not sodomy.

I can't believe that Apple rejected our masturbation iMix either. Especially since other iMixes with a questionable theme have been approved. One of our readers sent in an iMix called Music for Getting Chicks Pregnant and Apple approved it!!! Click on that link and iTunes will open up and show you the mix online.

here's what one of our readers had to say:

"Apparently, sex is cool as long as it's not with yourself as evidenced: Music for Getting Chicks Pregnant. ...." ~monkeygopop

I wouldn't say that that mentality was left back in the 1950's.....it's still very prevalent in this day and age.
