cheap site to buy domain names

i want to buy this domain and i would use godaddy.com but for this domain they want a lil more than $20 and i would like to get it for about $7 where do you guys buy your domain names??? I don't need hosting i have my own server farm for that

Look through the list of hosting providers here to see which one will sell you the domain name for the cheapest.

i know that a .com can be alot, but i want a .me and godaddy wants to charge $20-$25 and i think that is a rip off and that is without the hosting

I personally prefer namecheap and godaddy.

I'm using both (long story), but leaning towards the latter because of better deal (cheaper price) especially with discount coupons

I know you can get .coms for 7.50 anytime at Godaddy using codes from DealTaker. But I don't see anything about .me, sorry.

No, you're confused. .com, .net and .org are the cheap domains. The others are the ones that can become expensive. Particularly some of the newer ones. If you want a .me domain, you're going to have to pay that for it.
