ENTOURAGE won't do ANYTHING

Everytime I go to open my Entourage I immediately get an error message saying "The action could not be completed. Mail Error." I tried trashing the preferencecs, running Norton Disk Doctor and started up on my Power Mac G5 cd and ran the Varify Permissions and Disk Checker. Nothing Helps! I also tried resetting my PR. Any ideas??

I rebuilt the data base - held down option key while launching entourage

it worked

Sounds like a real pain.

Ah, I've been getting that same message. Does rebuilding the database cause any problems, like loss of data/addressbook stuff? In other words, do I need to back up?

It caused no problems! All addresses, emails, etc remain untouched.

Thanks! I did it last night and no problems subsequently. I'll see if this error message comes up again. It's pretty sporadic--only every few days, if that often.

Edited: Bummer--same problem again. Seems to arise when I'm working offline. Any ideas?
