simple compiling question

hey y'all. i'm new to this whole compiling thing, and i have a really easy question. i know my computer will not continue working when it goes to sleep, but if i close the lid on my ibook will it pick up where it left off when i open it back up? i don't want to lose the progress i have made so far. thanks a lot!
 
Yes. A compiler is just another program. There is nothing magic about it. It's memory state will not be effected by sleep mode.
