"open" order

Just ordered a 12 inch PB w/ superdrive and updraged the harddrive to 80 gig last night. Oreder currently says "open" and due to ship on or before 5/11. Is this about the standard time for shipping and what does order mean? anyone?

Open means that is hasn't been cancelled but wont be shipped until they get it. So it's kind of like back oredered
