Magsafe light flashes Green Red

Magsafe light flashes green to red and battery will not charge.

Thanks for any help.








Black Macbook 2.0 2GB 160GB
PowerBook G4 1.5 1GB 80GB
 
I took mine that did that into apple. They had to replace the magsafe charger. (Better that than the computer itself.)
 
This is a known new battery.
Should I also mention that the machine will not boot.

Additionally, I asked the question because I wanted to know if there might be a way to diagnose this machine from the way the lights flash. ie. Do I need a new Magsafe board or logic board?

As of this post the magsafe light stays green. I will update this post as more info becomes available. Thanks for all who help.
 
safe to use 80watt magsafe in a 60watt white macbook?

I have several extra 80watt magsafe power adapters. Can I safely use in a smaller (60watt) macbook?

(also, I tired to start a new thread but can't for the life of me find a "new thread" or new topic button!) (sorry!)

You can, but I wouldn't recommend it. I would imagine it would eventually do damage to your computer.

Look in the mid left of this picture, just a little below the MacRumors logo.
