It's the new machine in the old enclosure. A safety measure by Apple, it can be field-tested without the danger of it being spotted as "the new iPhone".

I've not looked over it completely, but it's probably the best report for a long while that looks fairly genuine. Plus, the pictures of the speedometer do appear clearer than I think I'd be able to take on mine given the low-light conditions.

Plus, the battery meter percentage looks quite nifty, although a little un-Apple if I do say so myself.

On reflection i think it's a jailbroken iphone, i have seen an app that lets you do that battery thing seeen in the screenshots.

Or just photoshopped images uploaded to the iPhone. There is 0% proof this is real.

Looks legit. Once again, the forum is doubting the pictures, lol. I remember when the iPhone 3G casing was posted, most people said it was fake.

We'll see in a few days.

no its not jailbroken i remeber devs with screenshots showing the percentage .. its a new feature in 3.0

and i think they said it when they annouced 3.0.. these photos look legit

yeah i remember that.. so many people said fake... apple wouldnt make the back plastic or have it shiny ..well it turned out to be true

I know, they CAN be real.:)

Which is funny because so far this summer I've heard "but apple won't move away from shiny! They love shiny!" so many times.

I'm almost 100% those pictures are real, why would they not be? Anyways, good thing Apple is finally giving the iPhone community video recording without any jailbreaking. Let's just hope they managed to get it working for current iPhone owners and not just for the new model (which seems unlikely).
