Applecare service overseas? (Costa Rica)

My charger's dead! It only charges every now and again for short periods! Aaaarrrghhh!

I'm in Costa Rica. Will the 'service centres' listen on the Apple site replace it for me? I've got applecare but only bought it in October, anyway.
 
Are you sure it's the charger? There's really no complicated electronics in a charger, which means there isn't as much that can go wrong short of physical damage to the wires (i.e. they've been severed). Anyways AppleCare is good anywhere in the world from authorized repair centers, so you should be covered under the warranty.
