Ok, How do I use web sharing with a router? If I use the IP address my router tells my computer I am using, it's just the generic linksys router configuring one. If I use the IP address that the sharing tab tells me in system configurations, it's just the generic linksys IP, and the IP address that I advertise to the internet is simply my router's IP. So what do IP do I type to get to the files on my computer?

If you are trying to access your computer from your local network, use the IP address assigned to your computer by the router. If you are trying to access your computer from the Internet, use the IP address assigned to your router by your ISP and configure your router to forward port 80 to the IP address assigned to your computer by the router.
I'm assuming you're asking how to set up the port forwarding. I don't use linksys routers, but generally there is a web based configuration utility. You get to it by accessing the IP address of the router through its LAN port. That IP address can be found by looking in your Network System Preferences panel for the Router parameter. Once you're connected, look around for a link that sets port forwarding and there will be some way to specify the port and the IP address you want to port forwarded to. If you are looking for linksys specific instructions hopefully someone who uses those routers will jump in. If linksys docs are any good, there should be instructions for how to do this as well.

Depends on what model router and what firmware you are using as the GUI changed with one of the firmware updates.

Also, it might be a good idea to give your mac a fixed IP address in the local network range, usually 192.168.1.X. Otherwise its possible your router can give you another IP if you should reboot, and that would break your port forwarding setup.
